    We are looking for a I/E Planner to join our CI team in Geismar, LA.

    With more than 600 products in its portfolio, in particular amines, diols, polyalcohols, acids and specialties, the Intermediates division offers innovative solutions for a wide range of industries – from coatings and plastics to pharmaceuticals and crop protection.

     

    We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented I/E Planner to support our instrumentation and electrical maintenance operations. This role coordinates and plans all I&E maintenance activities. Responsibilities include managing unplanned work orders, generating job plans, preparing job packets for field execution, and improving plans based on feedback. Occasional support for maintenance execution may be required.

    During your 10-hour shift as a I/E Planner, you will

    + Develop and validate comprehensive job packets for instrumentation and electrical (I/E) maintenance tasks, ensuring all necessary tools, materials, and documentation are included.

    + Create purchase requisitions and manage material logistics, including ordering, staging, and verifying availability of parts, tools, and consumables needed for planned jobs.

    + Maintain and update Bills of Materials (BoMs) for I/E equipment and systems to support accurate inventory control and maintenance planning.

    + Ensure compliance with Management of Change (MoC) procedures, identifying jobs requiring MoC and verifying adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

    + Interpret and analyze technical documentation such as P&IDs, electrical schematics, and drawings to confirm specifications, resolve discrepancies, and enhance job accuracy.

    + Maintain accurate records in SAP (CMMS), including job plans, equipment histories, and maintenance documentation to support traceability and reliability improvements.

    + Collaborate across disciplines — including Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance — to define job scopes, validate field conditions, and support root cause analysis and turnaround planning.

     

    If you...

     

    + Hold a High School Diploma or GED; Associate Degree in Instrumentation or Electrical preferred.

    + Possess 4+ years of instrumentation or electrical experience in chemical, petrochemical, or similar manufacturing environments.

    + Are proficient in SAP

    + Have a strong understanding of MoC processes and regulatory compliance

    + Are able to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics

    + Have excellent organizational and communication skills
