    We are seeking a Game Design - Content Review to help drive the overall content strategy and objectives for the Minecraft Marketplace. This role serves as a critical bridge between partner designers and the Marketplace organization, ensuring that all content meets the highest quality standards. As a Content Review Designer, you will facilitate communication across design, engineering, and marketplace teams, while also providing guidance to engineers on workflow improvements and AI (Artificial Intelligence) integration. You’ll be responsible for creating and maintaining clear documentation on Marketplace guidelines and best practices in game design, as well as authoring workflow optimization documents that explain both the "why" and "how" of ingestion processes for design teams. Additionally, you will work closely with partners to ensure their content aligns with Marketplace standards and policies, acting as a vital source of communication between the partner program and the broader organization. Simply put, you will play a key role in shaping the continued design evolution of the Minecraft Marketplace.

    Responsibilities

    + Act as the main point of contact for partner designers, supporting collaboration and feedback.

    + Co-develop andmaintaindocumentation onMarketplace policies and best design practices.

    + Guideinternaldesign teams on workflow improvements and integration of AI technologies.

    + Facilitate communication between design, engineering, andMarketplace teams.

    + Provide actionable feedback to designersregardingMarketplace submissions.

    + Attend scrum meetings to manage backlog andimplement feature creation.

    + Manageremotecontractors, helping to defineresponsibilities for both single and multiplayer content.

    Qualifications

    Required qualifications:

    + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Art, Writing, Behavioral Science, Data Science, Game Design, or related field AND 2+ years experience in game development and design, systems design, content production, or related field OR Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Art, Writing, Behavioral Science, Game Design, or related field AND 4+ years experience in game development and design, systems design, content production, or related field

    + OR equivalent experience.

    + 2+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market.

    Preferred qualifications:

    + 2+years experiencetaking a product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, addressing product market fit, and launch, internal tool/framework).

    + 4+years experienceimproving product metrics for a product,feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn).

    + 4+yearsexperiencedisrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience (e.g., competitive disruption, taking the place of an established competing product).

    + 1+ year(s) of experience reviewing Game content.

     

    Game Design IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
