Description
Member of the Engineering Team. Directs, coordinates, and functionally heads planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program and organizes project staff according to project requirements. Assigns project personnel to specific phases or aspects of project, such as technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and product testing, in accordance with engineering disciplines of staff. Recommends improvements with consideration for cost limitations for equipment up/down time, repair/replacement costs, weight, size, and availability of materials/equipment. Determines the cost advantages of alternatives for developing action plans to comply with internal/external customer demands for reliable processes/equipment.
Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Develop and implement improvement strategies, practices, and projects that support operational goals and objectives.
+ Capital project development and execution including all aspects of project management including research, design, vendor selection, quotation evaluation, job planning and scheduling.
+ Plan for plant infrastructure upgrades and repairs, maintaining schedules and developing budget cost estimates for projects.
+ Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering process problems.
+ Develop and track reliability metrics to identify improvement opportunities, evaluate trends, and ensure that business objectives are met.
+ Prepares interim and completion project reports.
+ Create a culture of continuous process improvement and employee learning/development.
+ Demonstrate problem solving and decision-making qualities that create alignment within the department and the organization.
+ Projects to include but not limited to; reverse engineering, machine upgrades, as well as new equipment installations.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ 6+ year’s relevant industrial experience in an asset intensive manufacturing environment, working with heavy industrial equipment, robotics, automation.
+ Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
+ Strong oral and written communication skills
+ Strong computer, organizational, and project scheduling skills.
+ Ability to work with internal maintenance teams and outside contractors.
+ CAPM or PMP certification preferred.
+ Project Management and Execution Experience with projects from start to finish.
+ Experience with executing projects upwards of $10M.
+ Candidates must also be willing to travel when needed domestically and international.

+ May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
+ May be regularly exposed to high noise environments.
+ May be exposed to extremely dusty environments.
+ May be exposed to working at heights, in mobile lifts, and confined spaces.
Education / Training:
Minimum:
+ 4 Year Degree; Engineering or Project management. (Master’s Degree preferred)
+ OSHA10/30 certification
