LSU Health New Orleans School of Dentistry is seeking motivated applicants for the position of Dental Assistant 1 or 2 in our Baton Rouge location.
Minimum Qualifications
One year of experience or training as a dental assistant or dental hygienist.

Job Duties and Other Information
Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:
To provide chairside assistance to a license dentist, residents, and undergrad student in the General Residency Clinic.
A. Assist oral surgeons, residents, and dental students with the chair-side treatment of patients
B. Takes and records vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
C. Gives intra-oral instructions and demonstrations of oral hygiene procedures
A. Greet and meet patients
B. Updates and maintains patient records
C. Answering phones and scheduling appointments
D. Assist with maintaining stock cabinet
E. Assist with checking inventory and ordering supplies when needed
Position-Specific Details:
These positions are in a Career Progression Group.
As part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as a (Dental Assistant 1 or 2) depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant(s)
+ This position does not require applicants to take a Civil Service test.
+ Pre-employment Drug testing and Criminal Background check are required.
+ This position will require selected applicant to be in a probationary status for at least 6 months.
