    Special Education Teacher | $42/hr | Full-Time | St. Louis, MO | 2025–2026 School Year

     

    Amergis Educational Staffing is hiring a full-time Special Education Teacher to support elementary students in St. Louis, Missouri for the 2025–2026 school year. This in-person role begins October 20, 2025, and runs for 7 months.

    Position Overview:

    + Location: St. Louis, MO

    + Start Date: October 20, 2025

    + Duration: 7 months

    + Schedule: Monday–Friday, typically 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

    + Hours/Week: 37.5

    + Modality: In-person

    + Pay Rate: $42/hour

    + Classroom Type: Elementary, push-in/pull-out model

    + Caseload: 10–15 students

    + Support: Para support provided

    Responsibilities:

    + Provide specialized instruction and support

    + Write and implement IEPs

    + Address behavioral needs

    + Collaborate with general education staff

    + Deliver group and 1:1 support

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Valid Missouri teaching certificate with SPED endorsement

    + Bachelor’s degree (preferred)

    + One year of teaching experience (preferred)

    + CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years of age
