• Sr. AWS Cloud Security Engineer

    Job Description

    In this role, you’ll architect secure AWS environments from the ground up, ensuring each customer’s data is fully isolated and protected by built-in policies and guardrails. You’ll implement and tune monitoring tools like CloudTrail, GuardDuty, and Security Hub to maintain real-time visibility, while building dashboards and reports that simplify audits. As a trusted security expert, you’ll collaborate with senior leadership, engineers, and vendors to align strategies, explain risks in plain language, and drive informed decisions. Your day-to-day will also include reviewing IAM roles, writing secure Terraform or CloudFormation templates, embedding security into CI/CD pipelines, and maintaining readiness through incident playbooks and compliance tracking.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field or relevant/equivalent work experience.

     

    - 7–10 years in IT/security, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in AWS security engineering.

     

    - Comfort working directly with senior leaders and external partners.

     

    - Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and tools.

     

    - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

     

    - Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

     

    - A proven ability to turn security policies into real, monitorable environments.

     

    - Bonus points for relevant certifications like AWS Certified Security - Specialty, AWS Solutions Architect - Professional, CISSP, CISM or CISA.
