    Job Description

    Insight Global is seeking a Distribution Engineering Supervisor to lead a team of technical designers and engineers in the Lansdale, PA office. This role focuses on supervising the development of utility engineering designs, cost estimates, and client communications across projects ranging from 120V to 34.5kV. The Supervisor will rarely manage their own projects, instead overseeing quality control, redlining deliverables, and guiding direct report staff performance through mentoring and technical instruction. Responsibilities include assigning work via Jira, conducting Monday morning planning meetings, and ensuring compliance with client standards, safety codes, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will bring collaboration background with PPL, manage teams of up to six, and embody a seller-doer mentality—engaging with both established and prospective clients to generate new business. Collaboration across substation, transmission, renewable energy, and geospatial disciplines is key, as is the ability to step in for the Distribution Engineering Manager when needed. Pay Rate $85,000-$125,000/yr.

    Skills and Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Civil/Structural, Mechanical or Multi-Disciplinary Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program.

    • 5+ Years of Distribution Engineering Experience

    • Proficiency with AutoCAD, PoleForeman, PolyWater Pull-Planner, O-Calc, SPIDAcalc, GIS, IKE

    • 1+ years experience in a Supervisor or Manager level role, leading a team of Engineers & Engineering Technicians while maintaining work product quality, consistency, accuracy, and reliability.

    • Advanced knowledge of overhead & underground Distribution facilities and understanding of its integration into daily activities.

    • Experience with NESC, ASCE, IEEE, and other industry-relevant standards • EIT with the ability to become registered PE.

    • Professional disposition and the ability to be open-minded when it comes to planning and execution of projects being worked by staff.

    • Proficiency in MS Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project)
