Job Summary: Oversees and facilitates patient flow through the Women and Newborn Care Inpatient unit. Develops and coordinates assignments and delegates work to achieve desired results. Balances resources in a fiscally responsible manner. Acts as a resource to advance patient care outcomes. Takes a patient assignment when necessary. Facilitates safety huddles in the absence of the unit leader.
Reports to: Director of Women's Unit

Minimum Qualifications:
+ Graduate of an accredited school or college for specialty; baccalaureate degree preferred. AD graduates currently enrolled in BS program with commitment to obtain BS within 3 years of employment.
+ Valid nursing license in RI.
+ Valid BLS through the American Heart Association
+ Minimum 2 years’ experience in field demonstrating progressively great responsibility.

+ Excellent interpersonal, prioritization, and organizational skills to ensure successful flow of the patient.

+ National certification in Specialty recommended in 2-3 years.
