    Job Summary:

    Responsible for sourcing and procuring production materials, major components, and essential services to support manufacturing operations. Leverages MRP reports to manage procurement activities and conducts weekly supplier follow-ups to ensure timely delivery aligned with production schedules. Evaluates supplier quotes and capabilities to ensure compliance with quality standards, delivery timelines, and quantity requirements. Actively seeks opportunities to reduce material costs through strategic negotiations, competitive sourcing, and long-term agreements. Collaborates closely with Engineering to develop specifications that optimize cost-efficiency while meeting quality and performance standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Review daily MRP (Material Requirements Planning) reports and assist in placing and updating Purchase Orders (POs) to align with production schedules

    + Communicate with suppliers to request quotes and gather information on pricing, availability, and delivery timelines

    + Verify item details such as part numbers, descriptions, and specifications when placing orders

    + Follow up on late deliveries and expedite critical materials as needed

    + Notify the Scheduling team of any material delays that may impact production

    + Support the Design team with entering and maintaining item data (e.g., pricing, lead times, supplier part numbers) in the ERP system

    + Help identify potential new suppliers through online research and referrals

    + Maintain accurate supplier contact and account information in the ERP system

    + Assist in resolving basic supplier issues in coordination with the Quality and Customer Service departments

    + Place special orders for tools, office supplies, and project-specific materials

    + Collaborate with Accounts Payable to help resolve billing or payment discrepancies

    + Support monthly reconciliation of company credit card statements

    + Manage multiple tasks and prioritize daily responsibilities effectively

    + Perform other duties as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Associate's degree or equivalent experience in business, supply chain, or a related field

    + 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or administrative support preferred

    + Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and access export-controlled information

    Desired Qualifications:

    + Basic understanding of MRP systems and ERP software (training provided)

    + Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as drawings and specifications

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

    + Strong communication and organizational skills

    + Willingness to learn and take initiative

    Compensation
