What You’ll Do

As part of our dynamic manufacturing team, you’ll play a key role in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement. Your responsibilities will include:

+ Developing methods, tooling, and techniques to reduce setup time, changeovers, and equipment operation effort

+ Implementing cycle time reduction strategies in bottleneck manufacturing cells

+ Troubleshooting machining processes and PLC programs (Siemens & Allen Bradley)

+ Modifying manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, cost efficiency, or accommodate design changes

+ Supporting financial goals through budgeting, expenditure scheduling, and project budget management

+ Managing capital projects: equipment specs, runoffs, installation, and contractor coordination

+ Updating and maintaining equipment and production layout drawings

+ Developing engineering solutions for recurring equipment/process failures

+ Identifying and delivering departmental training to boost skill levels

+ Reviewing and coordinating TPM, PM, proactive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize uptime

+ Owning PFMEA, control plans, and process flows in collaboration with the Quality Engineer

+ Supporting shop floor teams with problem-solving and standard work instruction development

+ Managing external contractors for process and equipment improvements

+ Collaborating across all levels to enhance machinery and manufacturing processes

+ Leading Kaizen activities and documenting outcomes

+ Understanding key environmental aspects and related operational controls

What You’ll Need

Essential:

+ 2+ years of experience in high-volume machining, assembly, and automation

+ Hands-on experience with Lean Enterprise methodologies

Desirable:

+ Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

+ B.S. in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or related field)

+ Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, MfgPro, Kronos
