Pay Rate:

_The pay rate for this job is $23 - $23 / hour*_

What you'll be doing as a Trailer Mechanic / Fabricator:

+ Conducts complete annual inspections on trailers according to DOT regulations and standards, trouble shoots and determines appropriate method to repair or replace defective equipment

+ Operate various fabrication and testing equipment according to departmental standards

+ Surveys external and internal damage on trailers and determines appropriate procedures to repair

+ Perform pressure testing in tank trailers

+ Operate yard truck and forklift to move trailers

+ Fill out paperwork and job card correctly

+ Check and inspect and fabricate parts on upper 5 plates landing gear assembly, sub frames, brake system, ladders, complete suspension, fender, mud flaps, and hydraulic systems

Available shifts:

Shift Timings: 1st Shift (Day)

Job requirements:

+ Use measuring devices

+ Operate machinery and fabrication equipment

+ Maintain normal service standards

+ Safety Standards

+ HS Diploma or GED with math skills in multiplication and division, fractions, ability to use basic fabrication equipment.

+ Shears, brakes, ability to use power tools (hand grinders, impact wrench)

+ Lift 75 pounds work on top of trailers, ladders and inside tank trailer work

+ Background Check and drug test required
