    Job Title: Patch Concrete Laborer

     

    Department: Concrete

     

    Reports To: Patch Foreman

    Job Summary:

    The Patch Concrete Laborer assists with the repair and restoration of damaged or defective concrete surfaces on construction and maintenance projects. This role involves preparing surfaces, mixing materials, applying concrete patches, and supporting the patch crew to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to project specifications. Key Responsibilities:

     

    + Assist in repairing concrete surfaces, including patching cracks, filling holes, and smoothing damaged areas.

    + Prepare work areas by cleaning, chipping, grinding, or saw-cutting damaged concrete.

    + Mix, pour, and apply cementitious, polymer, or epoxy-based repair materials.

    + Use hand tools and power tools such as trowels, hammers, grinders, and concrete saws.

    + Set up and dismantle work zones, barricades, and safety signage.

    + Load, unload, and organize materials and tools on-site.

    + Follow directions from the Patch Foreman and other supervisors.

    + Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

    + Adhere to all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

    Qualifications:

    + High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

    + 1+ years of experience in concrete or general construction preferred (willing to train the right candidate).

    + Basic knowledge of concrete repair tools and materials.

    + Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

    + Physically fit and able to lift 50+ lbs, kneel, bend, and work outdoors in varying weather.

    + Reliable transportation and good work ethic.

    + Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or travel to job sites as needed.

    Work Environment & Physical Demands:

    + Outdoor and indoor construction environments.

    + Frequent standing, lifting, bending, and exposure to dust, noise, and chemicals.

    + Use of PPE including hard hats, gloves, eye protection, and steel-toe boots.
