Kelly Services is actively recruiting for a R&D Lab Tech. for a Long Term Contract opportunity in Lake Jackson, TX.

The candidate will assist a Client Technician in running medium-scale compounding equipment including twin screw extruders and all support equipment.

+ Work includes, but is not limited to, sample preparation & weigh-up, compounding, and various testing of polymers using analytical equipment.

+ Will also be expected to perform equipment clean up and daily housekeeping.

+ Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

+ Candidate must be willing and able to wear required personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, ear plugs, side shield safety glasses, steel toed shoes and respirator.

+ Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Important skills include mechanical aptitude, math skills, attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, teamwork, organization, multi-tasking, computer skills, and reliability.

+ Associates or Bachelor’s degree desired but not required.
