    Primary Purpose

    PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

    Provide strategic planning and operational oversight of the 24/7 Exelon Security Operations Center (ESOC). Develop, recruit, and retain a diverse and high performing ESOC workforce. Evaluate performance, foster teamwork and collaboration, and provide mentoring to team members. Supervise and oversee work assignments of ESOC Supervisors, Leads and Operators, ensuring that alarms, calls and other inquiries and requests are handled in a professional and expeditious manner, consistent with Exelon policies and procedures. Supervise and provide guidance to the Senior Instructional Designer on creating and delivering entry level, in-service and specialized training for ESOC staff and others. Provide a proactive quality control function for ESOC responses. Provide stakeholder input on strategic roadmaps for enterprise security systems strategy and enhancements. Act as the subject matter expert for ESOC Operations. Coordinate and liasian with other Corporate Physical Security units, OpCo Security teams, CISS and Business Units on response and ensuring follow-up activities are completed. Work with Security Support Team to identify technological and personnel behaviors that create unnecessary work for the ESOC. Ensure compliance of ESOC Operations with Management Model and regulatory standards. Plan and coordinate security system outage response. Assist with testing and evaluating new technologies. Manage the Security Operations Center budget. Create and deliver professional presentations and reports, both written and oral, to key stakeholders.

     

    Note: This is an onsite position - employees are required to be in office for all scheduled shifts. This position must sit out of our Owings Mills, MD office. This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.

    + Manage and lead the 24/7 activities of the ESOC, including guidance to ESOC Supervisors and Operators

    + Provide oversight to the ESOC training program

    + Interact with Corporate Security leadership and peers, OpCo Security teams, Business units and Outside entities

    + Manage the ESOC budget

    + Perform administrative tasks

     

    Job Scope

    + Lead a staff of 30-40 employees

    + Interact with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, Business Unit management, and Exelon Operating Companies, both domestically and internationally

    + Manage the annual budget for the Security Operations Center

    + Work independently

    Minimum Qualifications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    + Bachelor's degree in related field, with 7+ years of relevant experience

    + In lieu of degree, 9+ years of relevant experience

    + Strong communication skills, both written and oral

    + Knowledge of PC/desktop workstation applications: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.

    + Ability to learn - Exelon business structure, ESOC policies and procedures, Exelon NERC CIP policies and procedures, substation operation, gas gate station operation, and relevant policies and procedures

    + Ability to work effectively under high stress situations and over evenings and weekends when warranted

    + Ability to rapidly assess and respond to life safety and security incidents

    + Ability to provide 24/7 monitoring support

    + Experience managing budgets

    + In lieu of degree, 9-12 years of relevant experience

    + Proficiency on the following systems: CCure 9000E, ExacqVision, Andover Continuum, , DMP, D3, JIRA,

    + Annual salary will vary based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $119,200.00/Yr. – $163,900.00/Yr.
