    Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks an **Associate** **Manufacturing Engineer** to join Space Launch System program at the Michoud Assembly Facility in **New Orleans, Louisiana** owned by NASA.

     

    Boeing works at this site building the largest rocket in history in the world. The project will eventually take the world to Mars.

    Position Responsibilities:

    + Assists in the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies.

    + Participates as a member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) in the integration of technical solutions.

    + Works with others to develop, identify and implement conceptual designs and maintenance of the program architecture for build.

    + Assists in implementing manufacturing plans.

    + Resolves technical problems and assists in the implementation of new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.

    + Assists in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies.

    + Interfaces with professional associations, suppliers, IPTs and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge and experience.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    + Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry

    + 2+ years of experience with production engineering

    + Willing to work alternating shifts, holidays, and weekends to support customer’s needs

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    + Masters degree

    + Manufacturing engineering experience on the Space Launch Systems Program

    Shift:

    This position is for 2nd shift but could potentially be a rotational shift to support production needs.

    This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.

    Summary pay range: $76,650 - $102,350
