We are hiring for multiple Product Developer II positions.
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
As a member of the Footwear Development Team, you will work collaboratively with key functional partners throughout the Product Development process. This includes Footwear Engineering, Footwear Product Testing, Footwear Material Design and Material Development, Product Design, Product Management, Product Merchandising, Sourcing and Operations, and our overseas partners – both within NIKE and external to NIKE.
You will need to navigate the Nike matrix to ensure that our processes model and match NIKE Footwear Development standard methodologies for product excellence. You are the key point of contact for our overseas partners and ensure that communication during the product development process is clear and accurate.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Footwear Product Developer II to be an integral part of our Footwear Product Creation Team, creating amazing footwear for our athletes! The ideal candidate needs to have demonstrated proven project management experience, collaboration, and problem-solving skills in a product development setting. In addition, we are looking for people that are self-starters, quick learners, clear communicators, team players and that exhibit strong leadership skills. As a member of our Nike team, we’ll look for you to display an aptitude to gain knowledge of our consumer’s footwear needs and to solve problems that are relevant and impactful.
As our Footwear Developer II, you'll drive product and process excellence within a team environment for your assigned projects. Working on a broad range of Sports and projects, you will convert project brief and design concept into a sample that meets both consumer needs and business needs. You’ll utilize your knowledge and experience to enhance product excellence.
+ Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
+ Minimum of 2 years directly relevant work experience
+ Effective Collaborator adept at working productively within a team.
+ Experience collaborating with internal and external partners.
+ Experience facilitating meetings, driving consensus, and influencing others.
+ Proven verbal and written communication skills with an ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives.

+ Demonstrated Self Starter that is willing to learn and grow.
+ A demonstrated ability to tinker, to create prototypes, to explore, learn, and to find ways to improve products through physically altering their state.
+ Basic knowledge of materials, test methods, and properties and application.
+ Basic knowledge of footwear pattern engineering, tooling, and manufacturing processes.
+ Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You will lead, guide and follow through on making decisions that will lead to timely product confirmation and sample delivery. You will execute product creation according to critical dates and performance/profitability goals. You will work with your multi-functional teammates to ensure manufacturability of product concepts. You will develop and utilize footwear knowledge to drive results and appropriately achieve project designs. You will apply fundamental understanding of multiple sports and standard methodologies to identify product and testing requirements and assure product performance through physical and field-testing (fit). You will recommend and specify material, component and construction options to meet key features and product performance goals. In addition, you will engage in all phases of the product process to ensure projects are completed on time, can be commercialized, manufactured, while meeting design intent performance, costing and sustainability goals.
