Seeking a Precision CNC Operator for our client, a leading manufacturer specializing in precision components for the medical device industry.
**Type:** Direct Hire
**Location:** Union County, NJ
**Pay:** $30 - $35/hr (Depends on shift and experience)
Shift: 3rd Shift
SUMMARY:
+ As a Precision CNC Operator with our client, you’ll be responsible for programming, setting up, adjusting, and operating high precision centerless and OD grinding machines to produce highly precise components used in life-saving medical devices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Program, set up, and operate precision CNC, centerless (in-feed and thru-feed), and OD grinding machines to produce components within tight tolerances.
+ Interpret complex engineering drawings and technical specifications to ensure parts meet dimensional and quality requirements.
+ Perform precise setups, tool changes, and adjustments to maintain production efficiency and achieve target cycle times.
+ Maintain accurate documentation of setups, measurements, and production results in compliance with medical device regulations.
+ Conduct inspections using a variety of metrology tools to verify surface finish, straightness, concentricity, and other critical dimensions.
+ Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area to meet GMP and quality standards.
+ Develop and refine machining processes, tooling, and gauging solutions for complex component geometries.
+ Troubleshoot machine and part issues, perform preventative maintenance, and collaborate with equipment vendors as needed.
+ Work closely with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to resolve challenges and drive continuous improvement.
+ Ensure production schedules and daily output goals are consistently met while maintaining high quality standards.
+ Follow all safety protocols and regulatory requirements, promoting a culture of operational excellence.
+ Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
+ **HS Diploma is required**
+ Experience in CNC precision machining, preferably in medical device or regulated manufacturing within tight tolerances.
+ Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude with ability to read technical drawings.
+ Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), documentation protocols, and quality inspection tools
+ Commitment to cleanliness, organization, and preventative maintenance
+ Team player with excellent problem-solving skills.
+ Safety-focused, dependable, and detail-oriented
