    Chemical Inventory Coordinator

    Contract- to -Hire

    Pay: $20/hr. - $22/hr.

     

    **Location:** Billington Heights, NY

     

    The Chemical Inventory Technician is responsible for ensuring adequate stock levels and performing various chemical and inventory management tasks either at a customer site or warehouse. They serve as the main point of contact for customers, ensuring product availability and regulatory compliance in a production or warehouse environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Maintain knowledge of products (chemicals, hardware, tools, etc.) and inventory systems.

    + Monitor and replenish stock in production bins and cabinets.

    + Conduct inventory inspections and chemical compatibility analyses.

    + Perform chemical additions to tanks per guidelines and coordinate chemical deliveries.

    + Use hand scanners for inventory tracking and place replenishment orders.

    + Handle, deliver, and organize inventory using tools like pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified).

    + Respond to hazardous material spills using proper safety procedures and equipment.

    + Communicate with production supervisors to manage bin/part changes.

    + Comply with customer requirements and regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc.).

    + Attend meetings and training, and travel between sites if needed.

    Qualifications:

    + High school diploma or GED (college degree preferred).

    + 1–2 years of experience in inventory/material handling and chemical compatibility.

    + Strong communication and customer service skills.
