Conducting retrospective cohort studies and small prospective translational studies in the field of drug-induced pneumonitis in the Department of Pulmonary Medicine at MD Anderson Cancer Center under the mentorship of Dr. Sheshadri and co-mentorship under Dr. Mehmet Altan from Thoracic Head and Neck Medical Oncology.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Maintain databases of patients receiving drug-induced pneumonitis, including regular queries and quality control checks
2. Create master data files to be used for data analysis
3. Respond to statistical queries for data clarification or abstraction
4. Prepare draft manuscripts for key projects
5. Interface with radiomic collaborators to combine clinical variable with radiomic features
6. Review clinical images and assist in clinical adjudication meetings
7. Read literature relevant to immune checkpoint inhibitor pneumonitis
8. Communicate freely and clearly and confer with superiors for new projects
9. Analyze data, prepare graphs and figures, and help in writing and submitting manuscripts.
Periodic Functions:
1. Presents data in formal departmental conferences
2. Present data in monthly meetings with pneumonitis collaborators
3. Present data in national and international meetings in form of poster or podium talk.

*LEARNING OBJECTIVES*
The postdoctoral fellow will lead 3-4 retrospective studies in the areas of drug-induced pneumonitis. The postdoctoral fellow will develop predictive models for drug-induced pneumonitis, synthesize radiomic datasets with clinical datasets, and conduct novel explorations of the role of subtle interstitial lung diseases on the risk for drug-induced lung disease.
