• CNC Machinist Operator

    We have an outstanding Contract to Hire position for aCNC Machinist Operatorto join a leading Company located in theThousand Oaks, CAsurrounding area.

     

    Pay Rate: $29 - $33

    Responsibilities :

    + Must set up, run, and inspect parts to drawing specification using CNC Lathe or CNC Mill, and/or CNC mill turn.

    + Required to perform first article inspections and correct any discrepancies between part measurements and print requirements.

    + Should be adept in all aspects of machining and assist other machinists as needed.

    + Apply knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, machinability of materials, and layout techniques.

    + Utilizes tools and measuring instruments, including, but not limited to: saw, shear, grinder, calipers, micrometer, calculator, and various other hand tools.

    + Read blueprints and inspect completed parts and related documentation.

    + Retrieve appropriate tools from the tool crib to complete the job.

    + Refer to reference books or confer with engineers to resolve questions/issues.

    + Maintains equipment as necessary.

    + Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

    Basic Hiring Criteria :

    + Strong communication and reading skills.

    + Minimum 5 years of experience to set up and operate a CNC Lathe or CNC Mill.

    + Ability to read blueprints, machine , and inspect completed parts and related documentation.

    + Must have math skills to be able to set up the machine.

    + Ability to lift/carry/pull/push up to 20lbs.
