Outdoor Living Estimator & Project Manager

    Currin Outdoor Living

    • Raleigh, NC | 💼 Full-Time | 💰 $70,000–$90,000 + Benefits (Based on Experience)

Are you a master of organization and detail who thrives on keeping projects running smoothly from start to finish? Do you take pride in accurate numbers, efficient planning, and flawless execution? If so, you’ll be right at home with us.

Currin Outdoor Living is seeking a driven, detail-oriented Outdoor Living Estimator & Project Manager to join our growing team. In this essential role, you’ll ensure that every project — from a small patio to a complex outdoor living environment — is scoped, budgeted, scheduled, and delivered with excellence.

You’ll be the backbone of our production process, turning design plans into reality through precise estimating, proactive coordination, and clear communication with vendors, crews, and clients.

We specialize in high-end outdoor construction projects — including hardscaping, landscaping, pools, and custom outdoor living spaces — and need someone who takes ownership, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and leads with professionalism and urgency.

    What You’ll Do:

    1. Estimating & Proposal Management

+ Review detailed design plans and project specs to prepare accurate estimates for materials, labor, and subcontractors.

+ Conduct takeoffs, compare vendor bids, and ensure competitive, reliable pricing.

+ Collaborate with the design and operations teams to produce detailed budgets, proposals, and change orders.

+ Maintain clarity and consistency throughout the estimating and project handoff process.

    2. Procurement & Vendor Coordination

+ Source, order, and track project materials — from stone and lumber to outdoor living products.

+ Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely delivery.

+ Coordinate with subcontractors and site crews to align materials and schedules.

    3. Scheduling & Project Coordination

+ Develop and manage project schedules, including crews, subcontractors, and deliveries.

+ Serve as the communication hub between designers, project managers, vendors, and clients.

+ Anticipate and adapt to challenges such as weather or supply delays to keep projects on track.

    What You’ll Bring:

+ 2+ years of estimating experience in construction, landscape, or design-build.

+ Required: Prior experience at a multi-million-dollar custom home builder or high-end design/build firm.

+ Degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred).

+ Skilled in reading and interpreting complex plan sets.

+ Experience with estimating software (LMN, Aspire, JobTread, BuilderTrend, or similar).

+ Excellent organizational and communication skills.

+ Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects with accuracy and accountability.

+ A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and commitment to doing things right the first time.

    What We Offer:

Competitive Pay: $70,000–$90,000 base salary (based on experience)

    Benefits:

+ Health, dental, and vision insurance

    + 401(k) with company match

+ Paid time off and holidays

+ Continuing education & training support

    + Company phone and laptop

+ Mileage reimbursement for site visits

    Culture & Growth:

+ Collaborative, team-driven environment — no corporate red tape

+ Clear growth opportunities in a rapidly expanding company

+ Regular team lunches, celebrations, and a supportive atmosphere

    Physical Demands & Work Environment:

This role involves both office and field work, including visits to active job sites. Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. (occasionally up to 80 lbs.) and work in varied outdoor conditions (heat, cold, humidity, uneven terrain).

    Travel:

Frequent travel to job sites within the Triangle area.
