    Summary :

    TheLead Mechanical Engineer – Submittals Teamis responsible for leading the design and technical documentation of mechanical systems during theproposal and submittal phaseof Power Package projects. This role ensures that all mechanical designs, layouts, and drawings meet customer specifications, project requirements, and industry standards prior to fabrication release.

     

    This position requires strong coordination with project managers, electrical engineers, and customers to deliver timely and accurate submittal packages, ensuring clarity, constructability, and compliance from concept through approval.

    Accountabilities:

    + Lead thedevelopment and review of submittal drawings, 3D models, and documentation packages for Power Packaging and electrical houses or use related systems.

    +  Collaborate with sales, project management, and design teams to translate project requirements into detailed submittal designs.

    + Ensure all submittal documents accurately represent system layouts, clearances, and serviceability.

    + UseSolidWorksandAutoCADto model and document designs for approval.

    + Coordinate with electrical and structural teams to ensure alignment across disciplines.

    + Manage submittal revisions, redlines, and customer comments, ensuring timely turnaround.

    + Mentor junior engineers and drafters in submittal standards and documentation best practices.

    + Support value engineering and standardization initiatives early in the project lifecycle.

    + Maintain consistency and compliance with company design standards, codes, and safety regulations.

    + Perform other leadership and job-related responsibilities as assigned.

    Required Knowledge/Experience:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).

    + 5+ years of mechanical design experience; at least2 years in a leadership or submittals coordination role.

    + Proficiency inSolidWorksandAutoCADrequired.

    + Strong understanding ofsheet metal design, weldments, and fabrication processes.

    + Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.

    + Ability to interpretcustomer specifications, P&IDs, and mechanical schematics.

    + Familiarity withASME, AWS, and other mechanical design standards.
