Summary :
TheLead Electrical Engineer – Design Teamprovides both leadership and hands-on technical expertise in the design and integration of electrical systems for Power Packaging Units, Power Distribution Centers, and Industrial Refrigeration Units.
This role combinesactive design participationwithteam leadership, ensuring electrical layouts, schematics, and documentation are accurate, manufacturable, and compliant with all relevant safety codes. The Lead Electrical Engineer works directly with designers, engineers, and production teams to translate concepts into detailed, build-ready electrical designs.
Success in this position requires a balance of strategic oversight, practical problem-solving, and a willingness to be on the floor — reviewing builds, resolving design issues, and continuously improving design standards and processes.
Accountabilities:
+ Providetechnical leadership and daily supportto the Electrical Design Team, ensuring high-quality, accurate, and compliant designs.
+ Actively participate inelectrical design work, including one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and cable routing.
+ Conduct and leaddesign reviews, ensuring compliance with NEC, NSC, NFPA, and other applicable codes and standards.
+ Mentor and guide electrical designers and junior engineers, offering training and feedback on CAD practices, layout standards, and design methodologies.
+ Review and approvedetailed CAD models, drawings, and Bills of Material (BOMs)for accuracy, manufacturability, and consistency.
+ Collaborate closely withmechanical, manufacturing, and project management teamsto ensure designs align with overall system requirements and production capabilities.
+ Troubleshoot design and wiring issues during fabrication, assembly, and testing — providing real-time support to production teams.
+ Assist withprototype builds and field installations, verifying design performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.
+ Maintain and improvedesign standards, templates, and drawing practices, driving consistency across all electrical deliverables.
+ Research and applynew tools, components, and technologiesthat enhance design efficiency, reliability, and safety.
+ Serve as theprimary technical contactfor electrical design elements on key projects, participating in customer and internal reviews.
+ Ensure all designs meetregulatory, safety, and quality requirements, and are properly documented for production release.
+ Perform other hands-on design and leadership duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge/Experience:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
+ 7–10 years of experience in electrical system design and drafting, with at least3 years in a lead or supervisory role.
+ Demonstrated experience inpower distribution, control panels, and system integrationfor industrial applications.
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical , or equivalent design tools.
+ Strong knowledge ofUL508A standards, wiring practices, and electrical safety principles.
+ Solid understanding ofNEC, NSC, UBC, IBC, and NFPAcodes.
+ Proven ability towork hands-onin a manufacturing environment — reviewing builds, solving design challenges, and supporting production.
+ Excellentcommunication, leadership, and collaborationskills across departments.
