    POSITION PURPOSE

    The Physical Security Systems Analyst provides support, analysis, and evaluation of the technology systems directly supporting physical security operations; assist with designing and implementation of physical security systems; recommending business process improvements, system controls and protocols as needed. Accountable for complying with all laws and regulations associated with duties and responsibilities.

    + This role reports to this job: DIRECTOR, CORPORATE SAFETY, PHYSICAL SECURITY & BUSINESS CONTINUITY

    + Necessary Contacts: All levels of BCBSLA personnel, Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, other Blue Plans, and a limited number of external community/industry organizations.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education

    + Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management Information Systems, or any IT related degree required

    + Four years of related experience can be used in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.

    Work Experience

    + 3 years to 5 years of technical systems analyst or business analyst is required

    + Experience working in a technical support role for physical security, electronic access control/CCTV, information security or any other security-related operation is preferred

    + Experience working with enterprise level software is preferred

    + Experience with delimited flat files, XML, EDI X12, EDIFACT, JSON and/or other standard data exchange formats is preferred

    + Experience with implementing in-house custom solutions as well as Commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) systems is preferred

    + Experience with Agile and/or Software Development Life Cycle methodologies preferred

    Skills and Abilities

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills, specifically the ability to take technical details and make them understandable to non-technical internal and external facing individuals at different levels are required

    + Must be a strong facilitator; adept at running meetings across multiple teams for elicitation and management of business requirements, and balancing priorities for integrations.

    + Should be a self-starter and able to work efficiently under minimal supervision.

    + Must be an excellent team player and have successful experience working as a contributing member of a team.

    + High proficiency in Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint is required

    + Demonstrated ability to implement complex, large scale solutions is preferred

    + Advanced business process mapping skills is preferred

    + Ability to understand and use basic SQL preferred

    + Familiarity with communication protocols (FTP, ETL, web services) preferred

    + Strong financial acumen preferred

    + Understanding of health payer regulations such as HIPAA preferred

    + Ability to think strategically, demonstrate ROI awareness, and is detail oriented preferred

    Licenses and Certifications

    + SAFE, project management, business analysis (IIBA), lean sigma certifications, or information technology systems certifications preferred

    ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    + Provide daily technical support and oversight of the various security systems and technologies which support the essential components of the Physical Security Department including electronic access control and the Security Operations Center (SOC).

    + Assist with planning, coordinating, installing, maintaining, integrating, testing and/or optimizing the Company's physical security systems and technologies while managing the daily technical support and directly working to resolve and/or trouble shoot system issues and/or facilitate the engagement of internal IT departments and/or vendors as appropriate.

    + Serve as the system administrator and manage all technical service requests regarding issues for all electronic security systems, database configuration, reporting systems and any other technologies utilized by Physical Security and Access Control.

    + Navigate and troubleshoot issues for complex, building-wide or multi-site IP video, intrusion and access control systems and manages the integration of systems for use by the Security Operations Center (SOC), access control, and management personnel.

    + Test and inspect installed systems and technologies to prescribed standards.

    + Configure reports and provide end user support and training.

    + Analyze current processes for supporting technologies/systems to ensure operations fully support and meet the business demands and requirements.

    + Manage implementation projects that are physical security technology or system focused by directing the activities of contracted technical staff to ensure access control and security technology projects are completed within designated timelines.

    + Develop site design playbooks and integration standards for the physical security systems and technology

    + Develop data integrity processes and configuration standards for physical security systems and applications

    + Demonstrate effective and timely communication to stakeholders, management teams and vendors, as applicable, regarding project status, issues, plans, etc. to meet business needs and expectations.

    + Ensure adherence to all IT and network requirements and standards for deployment of security systems as well as assist with compliance and audit reviews as needed.

    + Respond as needed outside of normal business hours when assigned to 24/7 on-call schedule and/or during times of emergencies as needed.
