    Salary: $75,000 - $110,000 yr DOE

    Responsibilities

    + **Analyze** composites - Physical and chemical

    + **Operation** of analytical equipment such as HPLC, FTIR

    + **Managing** the calibration of glass wares and the instruments and maintenance, cleaning and checking of equipment

    + **Familiarity/Operation** of instruments such as ICP/OES, Leco, pH, XRF, MFR, FTIR, DSC, TGA, TMA, DMA, GC/MS, hardness meters, analytical balances, etc.

    + **Coordinating** with the other technicians in the team to carry out work as per the planning schedule

    + **Manage** verification and calibration of instruments.

    + Familiar with particle size, density, flow rates

    This is a fast-paced environment, and we need someone who is proactive, self-motivated and a team player. The person for this role will be a specialist in their field, respected by all who they work with, keen to learn and enthusiastic in the face of challenge. You will need :

     

    + Associates degree or higher in Chemistry or equivalent, and/or at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

    + Preferred 7+ years' experience in the testing field

    + Ability to work in teams under pressure and flexible to work different working overtime hours, if required or necessary.

    + Excellent oral and written communication skills along with strong interpersonal skills and listening ability to communicate effectively with peers, superiors, customers and vendors.

    + Knowledge and experience of safe operation of testing equipment and operating in an independent / chemistry / consultant laboratory.

     

    NOTE: This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3), or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon the employer obtaining the necessary export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security, the U.S. Department of State’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, or other applicable government agency.
