    CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

    1. Conducts research on specific areas of study as assigned.2. Prepares research reports and technical papers for publishing.3.     DEPARTMENT ADDENDUM

    Department Specific Functions

    A recent Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Pharmaceutical Sciences is required. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in organic chemistry and polymer chemistry. Experience with drug delivery, nanoformulation, cell-based assays is strongly desired but not required. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing novel degradable polymers for the delivery of various therapeutic agents toward the treatment of cancer, diabetes, and other diseases. Other duties include, but are not limited to, preparing research reports and technical papers for publishing, and mentoring graduate and undergraduate students. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, highly organized, and able to communicate efficiently in a multidisciplinary team.

    Experience:Experience with drug delivery, nanoformulation, cell-based assays is strongly desired but not required.
