Are you passionate about cloud computing, large scale distributed systems engineering problems and working on bleeding edge technology at massive scale?
The Microsoft Azure Core team is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to work on a unique and highly visible role to contribute in the observability and diagnostics space to further enhance our software infrastructure and improve platform reliability. You will be responsible for working with software engineering teams on proof of concepts, prototyping, product requirements, design, and establishing and managing program schedules for large scale Azure.

Responsibilities
+ You will partner with Software and Hardware Engineering to design technical solutions across feature areas.
+ You will identify risks and propose data-based mitigations.
+ You will define success criteria and create relationships for implementing features for complex cross-functional projects.
+ You will coordinate and ensure alignment across organizations.
+ You will deliver on roadmap for multiple feature groups, track project schedules, develop staging and implementation plan, and manage governance programs.
+ You will drive continuous improvements by validating use cases and writing test cases from scratch.
+ You will lead teams to partner with other departments to collect performance metrics, drive customer support, and lead direct customer engagements.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 2+ years of proficiency managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
+ 4+ years experience in data analysis and observability of large scale distributed systems.
Other Requirements:
+ Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
+ 1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
