Data Engineer - Data Modeling

CTG is seeking to fill a Data Engineer - Data Modeling position for our client in Reston, VA.
**Duration:** 2 months
Duties:
+ Design and implement data models for applications and related systems.
+ Translate business requirements into logical and physical data models.
+ Apply expertise in data modeling tools and techniques, including ERWin, MDM, and ETL.
+ Analyze and gather insights from large volumes of data.
+ Develop and maintain ETL scripts using Python and SQL.
+ Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data solutions meet business needs.
+ Apply Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes for database and ETL changes.
Skills:
+ Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for ETL development.
+ Solid understanding of AWS services, primarily Glue ETL and Redshift.
+ Experience with AngularJS.
+ FNM experience as a Data Engineer.
+ Knowledge of SDLC and applying SDLC processes to database/ETL changes.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience:
+ Proven experience in data modeling and ETL development.
+ Hands-on experience with ERWin, MDM, and ETL tools.
+ Experience analyzing large datasets to extract insights and inform business decisions.
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
