JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Executive Clubhouse Manager, The Director of Facilities and Project Management (DOF) at Cherokee Town & Country Club is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the Town Club and Country Club facilities and all equipment related to it. The DOF also coordinates and is responsible for executing small and medium-sized capital projects at the Club.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
+ Manage daily maintenance operations by leading and supporting the team; reviewing completed work and service requests; and fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
+ Plan and execute capital projects for both the Town Club and Country Club locations.
+ Utilize and maintain the Club's CMMS system and provide reporting as necessary.
+ Organize and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
+ Responsible for records that are pertinent to the operation and is responsible for all the Club's blueprints.
+ Track and maintain inventory of tools and equipment in Maintenance Department.
+ Play a key role in the Capital and Operating budget cycles, ensuring projects and purchases are prioritized and planned appropriately.
+ Tracking actual spending vs. budget and proactively reporting potential variances.
+ Ensure that the maintenance crew is performing regular inspections of buildings and grounds to make sure they are kept in good order.
+ Complete any work necessary in emergency situations that might arise and is on 24-hr. call.
+ Responsible for maintaining a safe and injury-free work environment. Ensure that the maintenance crew follows personnel policies and state and federal safety regulations.
+ Provide all maintenance repair on buildings, grounds, landscape, and grounds equipment.
+ Maintain all local, state, and federal record keeping for maintenance Department.
+ Ensure that the grounds, buildings, and equipment are maintained according to local, state, and federal guidelines.
+ Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND APTITUDE REQUIRED:
+ Must be able to build, supervise and lead a high-performing team.
+ Ability to organize, coordinate, and complete many diversified projects.
+ Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
+ General knowledge of Club operations is a plus but not required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
+ Technical School and apprenticeship with thorough knowledge of all phases of buildings, kitchen equipment, air conditioning, heating, boilers, electrical, mechanical plumbing, refrigeration, mechanical drawing, and blueprint reading.
+ Knowledge of landscape maintenance, swimming pool filtration systems, fire alarms, fire sprinkler systems, P.A. equipment, painting, decorating, and furniture repairs.
