    Job Description

    Insight Global is seeking a Senior Commissioning Engineer to join a leading energy solutions firm based in New York. This individual will support the delivery of commissioning, retro-commissioning, and energy management projects across the NYC metropolitan area, including Westchester and the Hudson Valley. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, HVAC systems, and building operations, with a passion for sustainability and energy efficiency. This role involves hands-on project management, client coordination, and technical leadership across multiple commercial, governmental, and institutional projects.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field

     

    6-8+ years of experience in HVAC systems, building operations, building automation, or technical engineering roles

     

    Practical experience with MEP systems, especially HVAC and controls

     

    Strong communication and project management skills

     

    Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously

     

    Willingness to travel 2–3 days per week across New York and the tri-state area

     

    Proficiency in software tools such as spreadsheets, project management platforms, and word processing Professional certifications such as CCP, CBCP, LEED AP, or CEM

     

    Experience with commissioning and energy audits

     

    Familiarity with NYC and NYS building codes

     

    Experience supporting municipal and government agencies including but not limited to: DASNY, CUNY, MTA, OGS, and other NYS entities

     

    Revit and AutoCAD proficiency
