**Job Title:** Procurement Manager
**Location:** St. Cloud, MN
**Job Type:** Full-Time | Monday - Friday with occasional emergent availability
**Work Setting:** In-Person
Electrical Builders, Ind. (EBI) is looking for a Procurement Manager to take the lead on sourcing and purchasing the parts, tools, equipment, and services that fuel our success in the electrical utility and industrial welding sectors. This role is a fit for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, project-driven environment and knows how to balance cost, quality, and timelines without sacrificing one for the other.
If you’re as comfortable sourcing and managing vendors as you are collaborating with project managers - and you see procurement as a strategic driver of operational excellence - we want to hear from you.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
As EBI’s next Procurement Manager, you’ll be the cornerstone connecting our Operations, Project Management, Field, and Quality teams with the materials, equipment and resources they need to succeed. One moment you’ll be obtaining vendor quotes, the next you’ll be troubleshooting a time-sensitive delivery challenge for a field crew at a power plant in a different time zone.
Your focus will include:
+ Responsible for managing and executing all procurement activities from vendor identification to quote evaluation to PO issuance and ultimately timely order delivery
+ Maintaining real-time communication with stakeholders on order status.
+ Monitor and report on inventory levels
+ Identifying cost savings and process improvements that strengthen EBI’s supply chain resilience
+ Building and maintaining strong vendor partnerships, including performance reviews and site visits
+ Keeping procurement aligned with ISO 9001 quality standards and company policies
WHAT YOU BRING
+ 5–7 years of procurement or supply chain experience (industrial, construction, or energy sectors preferred)
+ 2–3 years of vendor sourcing and contract management experience
+ Previous buying experience in construction, industrial electrical or similar
+ Mechanical aptitude
+ Ability to understand variable units of measure
+ Ability to read a blueprint
+ Experience implementing inventory systems
+ Hunter mindset (not buying from a catalog)
+ Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
+ Exceptional communication skills
+ Experienced with shipping/customs/material transport logistics
+ Expedient with ability to manage competing priorities
+ Strong understanding of procurement best practices and regulations
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and procurement-related software
+ Exceptional organization skills
+ Ability to work independently, collaborate across departments, and thrive under deadlines
+ Valid driver’s license (and willingness to travel occasionally)
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU
+ Competitive pay based on experience and certifications
+ Health, dental, and vision insurance
+ 401(k) with profit sharing
+ Paid time off (PTO) and holidays
+ Opportunities to advance within a respected, nationally recognized company
+ A team culture that values grit, precision, and craftsmanship
+ Opportunities for professional growth and leadership development
+ A supportive, safety-first culture
+ The satisfaction of knowing your work directly contributes to powering communities nationwide
