Atlantic Health is Seeking a Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Training Program at Overlook Medical Center

Atlantic Health is seeking a Program Director to lead the well-established Internal Medicine Residency Program at Overlook Medical Center. Overlook Medical Center, a leading and innovative facility within Atlantic Health, is home to a respected residency program that provides training and education to 43 residents. In line with the system’s continued expansion, this leadership role will support the ongoing growth and success of the program.

The Program Director will oversee the curriculum, administration, and evaluation of the residency program, ensuring compliance with ACGME requirements and maintaining the highest standards of medical education. Responsibilities include curriculum design and review, oversight of resident scheduling and performance assessment, and active participation in resident recruitment and faculty development. The role also involves direct teaching and mentorship through clinical supervision, conferences, and scholarly activities, while fostering a culture of excellence, professionalism, and patient-centered care.

Salary Range: $250,000–$280,000 base salary only; excludes any quality and/or productivity incentives

Qualifications

+ Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of New Jersey

+ Board certification in Internal Medicine

+ Clinical experience in both inpatient and/or ambulatory settings

+ Experience in curriculum development, competency-based education, and resident evaluation

+ Comprehensive knowledge of ACGME accreditation requirements and processes
