What You'll Do

As a **New Business Analyst** , you'll work in a fast-paced environment and form partnerships with our sales representatives and brokers throughout the US to provide all levels of quote support for group benefit product sales via a centralized Proposal Center.

Your day will be filled with:

+ Applying office level customization by understanding key broker relationships and assessing benefits of current carrier to align Principal plan designs by having a high level of knowledge of our quoting process including underwriting and product guidelines.

+ Researching, answering questions and providing information and recommendations to internal and external customers.

+ Performing other job-related duties and special projects as needed.

Who You Are

+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience and 1+ year of related experience required (Group benefits services, marketing or sales experience preferred.)

+ Understanding of group benefits, insurance operations, product knowledge and concepts.

+ Experience using Microsoft Excel (advanced Excel proficiency preferred)

+ Strong problem solving, analytical decision-making and time management skills.

+ Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and meet client expectations.

+ Effective written and verbal communication, planning and organizational skills.

+ Ability to build positive relationships by maintaining high levels of efficiency, quality and exhibit strong attention to detail.

+ Proactive and ambitious to accomplish work with limited direct supervision and general work direction.

+ Strong skills working with spreadsheets, formulas, graphs and tables.

Intermittent overtime may be requested or mandated

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)

$19.47 - $35.19 / hour

Time Off Program

Personal Time Off (PTO) is provided to hourly (non-exempt) employees and provides a set amount of accrued time earned each pay period. Employees can use their PTO for vacation, personal or short-term illness.

Work Environments

This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, or Charlotte, NC). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
