    JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSE

    Under the supervision of the Senior Program Transitions Manager, the Program Transitions Lead will lead, plan, and execute high-priority, cross-functional projects. Concurrently, this role will provide project management guidance to the start-up and close-out programs, working collaboratively with program leaders to ensure adherence to organizational procedures and successful delivery of outcomes.

     

    This individual will serve as a key advocate and champion for project management best practices within the Transition Team, mentoring colleagues and driving the adoption of standardized processes to enhance organizational efficiency and impact.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Lead the planning and execution of strategic projects and tasks assigned.

    + Working closely with the CFO, lead special projects as assigned and directed ensuring all projects are completed timely.

    + Develop comprehensive project charters, plans, and budgets for assigned initiatives, and provide regular, clear status reports to the CFO and other executive stakeholders.

    + Mentor and coach team members on project management principles, methodologies, and tools, fostering a culture of project excellence within the department. Working with Senior Program Transitions Manager. provides development plans for team members- professional development.

    + Contribute to the development and refinement of the Transition Team's project management templates, tools, and standard operating procedures ensuring process and procedures meet current organizational needs including contract documentation, focused on continuous quality improvement

    + Work with Program Managers to monitor and ensure program start-up and close-out projects adhere to organizational procedures and meet key deliverables.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES

    + Project Leadership

    + Lead the planning, execution, and closure of high-priority, cross-functional projects.

    + Develop comprehensive project charters, plans, and budgets for assigned initiatives.

    + Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.

    + Provide clear and regular status reports to executive stakeholders.

    + Program Transition Guidance and Oversight

    + Provide project management guidance to Program Managers leading program start-ups and close-outs.

    + Work with program leaders to ensure transition projects adhere to organizational procedures and meet key deliverables.

    + Facilitate communication between program teams and key departments (Finance, IT, HR, etc.) during transitions.

    + Department Development and Team Mentorship

    + Mentor and coach colleagues on project management principles and best practices.

    + Serve as the project management subject matter expert (SME) for the Transition Team.

    + Contribute to the development and refinement of department templates, tools, and standard operating procedures.

    + Other duties as required and is subject to change at any time.

    + Community outreach, Professional development events.

    Qualifications

    REQUIREMENTS:

    + Must be able to pass a fingerprint clearance, background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications

    EDUCATION:

    + Bachelor's degree in Social Work (or related discipline) or a combination of relevant education and experience (4 years).

    EXPERIENCE:

    + 4 years- experience in a social services organization supporting grant/contract development.

    + Minimum of 3 years of direct Staff management experience.

    + Budget Management / Oversight Experience

    + Experience managing programs with over 10 staff, serving clients with multiple modalities

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Master of Social Work or discipline related to Program services

    + PMP (Project Management Professional) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification is highly desirable.

    + History of working with multiple community partners, existing relationships a major plus.

    + Experience connecting clients to community and government resources.

    + Experience serving the target community (veterans, homeless, at-risk youth, et cetera)

    + Bilingual in English and Spanish.

    + Well informed of organizational priorities and procedures.

    + Knowledge about community resources

    + Experience with project management software (e.g., Microsoft 365, Asana, Jira) is strongly preferred.
