    Responsibilities

    The Injury Prevention Coordinator provides emergency evaluation for injuries, assures cost effective coordination of treatment, referral to preferred providers, and collaborates with management in development of objectives for health services compatible with goals and objectives of the hospital. Documents accurately and helps to maintain required administrative records. Performs safety rounds safety practices are adhered to within all hospital departments to maintain a safe environment for patients, physicians, volunteers, visitors and hospital employees. The Injury Prevention Coordinator works under the direction of the Trauma Program Manager and Trauma Medical Director. This position requires knowledge, education and experience in injury prevention and injury surveillance. They will work in collaboration with the Trauma Program Manager and Trauma Medical Director to identify health problems of the local geographical area and implements intervention programs, education and referrals. Due to the necessity of extensive community outreach efforts, the position requires possible evening and weekend assignments.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

    + High School Diploma or Equivalent

    + Youth & Gang Violence Intervention Specialist Certificate preferred

    + Addiction Counselor Certificate preferred

    + Child Passenger Safety Technician Certificate Preferred

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $23.72 to $33.06. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
