Description
The Department of Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution, College of Engineering at Texas A&M University invites applications for one tenured or tenure-track faculty position in the Industrial Distribution Program at the assistant or associate professor levels starting in Fall 2026. The Industrial Distribution Program is in the Department of Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution. This nationally recognized program focuses on applying engineering technology, business, mathematics, science, data processing, communications, quality, and supply chain management to the wholesaling and distribution of industrial and technological products.
Preference will be given to candidates with relevant hands-on research and experience aligned with industrial distribution – these include, but are not limited to, operations management, data analytics, optimization, supply chain and logistics, digital distribution, and operations research. Leveraging the latest technologies, such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and large language models, for advancing these core research areas will be favorably considered.
The successful applicant will teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels; advise and mentor graduate students; develop an independent, externally funded research program; participate in all aspects of the department’s activities; and serve the university, college, department, and profession. Through effective industrial advisory committees that provide valuable guidance, the department has numerous opportunities for the development of laboratories and sponsorship of applied research activities. Being an integral part of the College of Engineering at Texas A&M University facilitates opportunities for excellent interaction with faculty in other programs to support large-scale college initiatives, as well as access to graduate students to assist in instructional and applied research activities.
