6+ month contract
Key Responsibilities
• Support the Technical Product Owner and larger B2B API team in managing and organizing the product backlog, including creation of user stories
• Ensure stories are populated with all the details needed to achieve the definition of ready
• Ensure the right information is available to the development team at the right level of detail and at the right time
• Work with the team to define requirements through continuous exploration of business needs. Coordinate with developers to assure appropriate dev detail is populated in stories and tasks
• Produce and refine requirements through an interactive process of planning, defining acceptance criteria, prioritizing, developing, and reviewing results
• Help with prioritization of stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value aligned with product strategy
• Support backlog management and iteration planning before and during sprints
Technical Skills
• Support the Product Owner in development and maintenance of stories, product roadmap, research of users, organization of work
• Experience with project management solutions (Jira preferred)
• Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and business concepts to technical developers
• Skills in creating technical requirements that developers can implement
Nice to Have
• Experience with API documentation tools (Swagger, OpenAPI, Postman)
• Ability to read and interpret API specifications and documentation
• Knowledge of authentication protocols (OAuth, API keys, JWT)
This role will be critical in ensuring the team has adequate ready (DoR) user stories to work on and will help drive effective backlog organization and story writing for the B2B API scrum team.
