    Position Overview

    The Associate Director role involves leading a team responsible for tech transfer initiatives and commercial programs in the Supply Chain department. This

     

    position will be managing Customer Leads and Customer Sourcing Specialist but also not limited to customer-facing activities, reporting on campaign

     

    readiness / supply chain status, and overseeing material workstreams. The Associate Director drives strategic initiatives aligned with FDB's Kojo X

     

    objectives, focusing on team development and performance across Logistics, Customer Service, and Customer Support roles. Responsibilities include

     

    managing material assessments, identifying new materials, and working closely with suppliers to support programs. The role will also include collaboration

     

    with multiple cross-functional teams, such as Supply Planning, Customer Program Management, Process Science, Quality, and Global Sourcing to deliver

     

    tech transfers, campaign readiness, and robust customer relationships. Additionally, the Associate Director will navigate vendor engagement, logistics

     

    optimization, trade compliance, regulatory adherence for shipments, and support customer proposal phases for new clients.

    Job Description

    What You’ll Do

     

    Functions of the Supply Chain leadership team driving business processes, organizational design, and developing teams

     

    Communicates effectively, maintain key performance indicator data, drive results to support customer programs and for logistics/distribution at

     

    FDBN.

     

    Builds and continuously improve related systems and end to end processes to support customer programs from Supply Chain function

     

    Leads supply chain strategic activities during customer proposal stages, ensuring necessary information is provided to support Commercial team for

     

    potential clients.

     

    Builds and maintains strong relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are met effectively.

     

    Ensures timely and accurate reporting on material status to support tech transfer objectives

     

    Drives efficiencies in tech transfer activities, identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation.

     

    Develops and implements strategies to streamline supply chain operations, enhancing overall effectiveness.

     

    Collaborates with other departments to ensure alignment of supply chain strategies with wider business goals.

     

    Builds, maintains and develops team following the strategic direction considering individual employee potentials

     

    Fosters cross-functional relationships to drive an aligned Supply Chain Management approach with internal and external teams

     

    Optimizes logistics, shipments, and trade compliance processes

     

    Ensures adherence to trade compliance through classification of materials and interaction with US Customs.

     

    Drives and implements global harmonization of trade compliance activities

     

    Identifies and communicates potential risks, provide program updates, and resolve challenges

     

    Drives end-to-end supply chain improvement initiatives based on customer feedback

     

    Fosters a collaborative team environment, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.

     

    Implements vendor management practices that promote cross-site collaboration, ensuring the organization's procurement goals

     

    Administers company policies such as time off, shift work, and inclement weather that directly impact employees

     

    are consistently met.

     

    Coaches and guides direct reports to foster professional development

     

    Participates in the recruitment process and retention strategies to attract and retain talent, as needed

     

    Addresses performance gaps, employee questions and concerns, and partners with HR as needed for resolution

    Basic Requirements

    Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain management or related field with 11+ years of experience in

     

    procurement OR

     

    Master degree in business administration, Supply chain

     

    management or related field with 9+ years of experience in Supply

     

    chain.

     

    8+ years' experience in Supply Chain Management

     

    Prior experience and proven ability to lead the teams

     

    Experience in Supply Chain Management including Warehouse

     

    Operations, Distribution & Logistics.

     

    Experience in Trade Compliance with import and export of shipments

    Preferred Requirements

    Regulation for export of goods and customs compliance

     

    rules/regulations for importing shipments to US.

     

    Warehouse, preferably in GMP, to include Logistics and Distribution

     

    Experience in a cGMP facility or working with FDA regulations is

     

    preferred

     

    Prior experience working for a greenfield construction project is

     

    preferred

     

    Global collaboration experience is preferred

     

    8+ years of people management & leadership experience
