Job Description

Join a dynamic and growing team as a Construction Equipment & Tool Sales Representative. This role is ideal for a proactive individual who excels at building strong relationships and driving business growth across New Haven, Fairfield, and Lower Litchfield Counties. With a focus on the construction industry, this position offers the opportunity to become a trusted partner for contractors by delivering high-quality equipment solutions.

Responsibilities

+ Manage and grow an existing client base across assigned territories

+ Prospect and develop new client relationships through cold calling, site visits, and networking

+ Follow up on qualified leads provided by the inside sales team

+ Conduct on-site visits to assess client needs and recommend appropriate equipment solutions

+ Deliver persuasive sales presentations and negotiate agreements

+ Serve as the primary contact for account management and customer service

+ Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery, service, and support

+ Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and customer interactions

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of 2 years’ experience in outside sales, preferably in construction equipment or a related field

+ Strong communication and relationship-building skills

+ Self-motivated, organized, and goal-oriented

+ Ability to travel regularly to client sites across Connecticut

+ Clean driving record

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Familiarity with construction tools and equipment is a plus

+ At least 1 year of experience in a client-facing or customer service role

+ Proficiency in Excel or CRM software

+ Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and data entry

Work Environment

This role involves regular travel with occasional office or remote work as needed. Weekly office visits are expected.
