Job Title: Construction Superintendent Job Description

The Construction Superintendent will manage construction projects for a general contractor or construction management company. This role involves planning, organizing, and overseeing project tasks by supervising field staff, subcontractors, and ensuring overall project safety and quality. The Superintendent will monitor construction activities from the start through completion and will act as the leader in communication between trades, disciplines, clients, and office leadership. They will report directly to the Project Manager and Construction Director through daily reporting logs and proactive communication. Projects will include multifamily spaces, industrial, and other commercial projects.

Responsibilities

+ Manage jobsite safety

+ Ensure project quality control

+ Review project submittals

+ Schedule project timelines

+ Manage project materials

+ Maintain daily reporting

+ Communicate effectively with trades, subcontractors, clients, and office leadership

Essential Skills

+ 6+ years as a superintendent

+ Experience with 4-5 multifamily construction projects

+ Proficiency in construction management and supervision

+ Experience with general contracting and subcontractor management

+ Strong understanding of site construction, project scheduling, and safety

+ Proficiency in Procore and other construction software

+ Computer savvy

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field (preferred)

Work Environment

The individual will be working onsite with all construction projects located within 35 miles of Grand Rapids. Mileage expenses are negotiable. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NA, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.87 - $48.08/hr.
