    Job Title: Warehouse Associate

    Job Description

    Join a dynamic team as a Warehouse Associate where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of food and non-food items. This position involves general warehouse duties including order fulfillment, loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining cleanliness in accordance with food safety and company guidelines.

    Responsibilities

    + Accurately fill agency orders using warehouse technology systems to pull products, scan, and load cases onto pallets for shipping or pickup.

    + Maintain accurate inventory levels with at least 95% accuracy through regular inventory counts.

    + Secure products by safely stacking and shrink-wrapping items on pallets.

    + Operate warehouse equipment safely and adhere to company safety rules and procedures.

    + Assist other departments within operations based on the daily needs of the warehouse.

    + Maintain high sanitation and cleanliness standards throughout the building, including racks, freezer, and cooler locations.

    + Complete daily warehouse sanitation logs and equipment checklists.

    + Adhere to all AIB Food Safety practices and procedures.

    + Check and load the NOVA transfer truck.

    + Provide backup for NOVA terminal, Agency Mart Lead, and Receiving team as needed.

    + Cross-train to support various operations departments as required.

    + Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.

    + At least 2 years of experience in a warehouse or operations environment.

    + Proficiency with handheld scanning devices and warehouse technology.

    + Valid license to operate a motor vehicle, forklift, or pallet jack.

    + Willingness to work overtime, including weekends.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, donors, and agency representatives.

    + Adherence to OSHA warehouse safety regulations and AIB Food Safety Guidelines.

    + Strong communication and customer service skills.

    + Flexibility and ability to work well in a team.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a semi-climate controlled warehouse setting with some outdoor exposure and frequent temperature changes. The role requires adherence to safety and sanitation guidelines.

    This is a Contract position based out of Lorton, Virginia.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $24.03 - $24.03/hr.
