    Job Title: Material Handler/Shipping/Receiving

    Job Description

    The role involves loading and unloading trucks and vans, requiring the use of a sit-down forklift or the ability to lift up to 65lbs. This position is ideal for someone with over 2 years of experience, although candidates with other relevant competencies are also considered.

    Responsibilities

    + Load and unload trucks and vans using a sit-down forklift or manual lifting.

    + Pick and select specific customer orders based on written instructions.

    + Perform shipping and receiving duties, including packaging and inventory control.

    + Utilize computer systems for data entry and inventory management, primarily using UPS and FedEx systems.

    + Handle materials with care and efficiency.

    Essential Skills

    + 2+ years of warehouse experience.

    + 6+ months of forklift operation experience.

    + 1+ year of material handling experience.

    + 6+ months of experience with computer or inventory systems, specifically using UPS or FedEx.

    + High school education or equivalent.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with SAP and domestic shipping.

    + Capability to lift up to 65lbs.

    + Proficiency in data entry and basic computer use.

    Work Environment

     

    The position is based in a smaller warehouse with four primary dock doors. As the doors are frequently open, employees should dress according to the weather conditions to stay comfortable in the chilly environment.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Britain, Connecticut.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
