Job Title: Fabrication/Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Fabrication/Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for the layout and fabrication of components from a variety of materials including metal, plastic, and wood. The role requires adherence to quality standards and timelines to safely complete projects based on work orders, engineering drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions. A significant part of this position involves metal assembly, component fabrication, and welding.
Responsibilities
+ Layout and fabricate components from materials such as metal, plastic, and wood, meeting quality and time requirements.
+ Perform metal assembly and component fabrication followed by welding.
+ Assemble products and prototypes in a timely manner, ensuring quality requirements are met.
+ Install product prototypes safely and efficiently, recognizing and communicating installation problems and suggesting enhancements.
+ Remove prototypes after testing as directed.
+ Utilize tools common in metal fabrication including welders, band saws, drill presses, cutting torches, and grinders.
+ Use assembly and installation tools such as concrete drills, backfill tampers, impact wrenches, and sockets.
+ Drive company vehicles as needed, maintaining a clean driving record.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of three years of experience in a fabrication shop or construction-related field.
+ Experience in welding, manufacturing, and construction environments.
+ Proficiency in fabrication using metal, plastics, wood, and concrete.
+ Ability to read and understand work orders, engineering drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions.
+ Certified in horizontal welding by AWS is a plus.
+ Experience with forklift and bobcat operation is desirable.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in maintenance electrical and mechanical repair.
+ Knowledge of low and high voltage systems.
+ Mig and Tig welding experience.
+ Blueprint reading skills.
+ Basic plumbing knowledge.

Work Environment
This role involves working in a non-climate controlled heavy manufacturing environment with 50% of the work taking place outdoors. The work requires the use of standard shop trucks (non-CDL) for transportation. Be prepared for hands-on work in a dynamic and challenging setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of ROCKLIN, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $34.00/hr.
