Job Title: Sheet Metal Fabricator
Job Description
The Sheet Metal Fabrication Mechanic oversees the daily operations of the sheet metal laser and/or press brake within the fabrication department in a manufacturing plant. This role involves running the machine to production schedules, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards, and using workflows to meet project deadlines. The mechanic collaborates with other sheet metal employees, maintains equipment, and ensures compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
+ Ensure the safe, on-time, on-scope, and on-budget installation and startup of equipment supporting complex new manufacturing capabilities.
+ Set up and calibrate sheet metal fabrication equipment, including CNC machines, press brakes, shears, and punches.
+ Verify accurate use of blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files for precise fabrication.
+ Work according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) for fabrication tasks to ensure consistency and efficiency.
+ Collaborate with other department employees to optimize workflows and reduce bottlenecks.
+ Fabricate custom or prototype sheet metal projects in coordination with engineering, supervisory, and R&D teams.
+ Maintain equipment to maximize uptime and support continuous production.
+ Conduct inspections throughout the production process to ensure strict adherence to product quality standards.
+ Manage inventory of raw materials, tools, and equipment to prevent downtime and minimize waste.
Essential Skills
+ Press brake experience is a main priority as this is the machine you will be running.
+ Strong knowledge of sheet metal materials and fabrication methods.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files.
+ Proficient with basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in CNC, sheet metal fabrication, and blueprint reading.
+ Proficient use of tape measure for precise measurements.

Work Environment
Work in a clean, state-of-the-art facility that is fast-paced and deadline-driven. This is a first shift position from 5:30 AM to 2 PM, Monday to Friday.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Upper Chichester, Pennsylvania.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $62400.00/yr.
