    Associate – Client Services Accounting | San Francisco, CA

     

    An accomplished private investment office is seeking a detail-oriented Associate to join its Client Services Accounting team in San Francisco. This is a unique opportunity to support high-net-worth, multigenerational clients through comprehensive financial reporting, accounting operations, and cross-functional collaboration.

    About the Role:

    You’ll be part of a collaborative 13-person team responsible for managing day-to-day transactions, preparing financial reports for individuals, trusts, and LLCs, and partnering across departments to deliver exceptional client service. This role offers visibility, impact, and long-term career growth in a values-driven organization.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Enter journal entries, meet quarterly close deadlines, and prepare financial statements

    + Perform accounts payable and anticipate client liquidity needs

    + Reconcile bank, brokerage, credit card, and other balance sheet accounts

    + Review investment valuations and personal loans

    + Interface with clients, estate managers, and vendors for payment and reporting requests

    + Collaborate with internal teams on financial reporting and forecasting initiatives

    Requirements

    Ideal Candidate:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA or Master’s preferred

    + 2–5 years of experience in accounting operations (real property, trusts, LLCs)

    + Strong understanding of financial reporting and GAAP

    + Proficiency in Excel; experience with Sage Intacct and Bill.com a plus

    + Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills

    + High attention to detail and discretion
