Description

We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Woodbridge, New Jersey, on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate documentation, and driving month-end close processes. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with the VP of Finance while managing a small team and contributing to the company’s financial success.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the documentation process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Oversee month-end close procedures, including reconciliations and financial reporting.

• Provide leadership to accounts payable and accounts receivable clerks, ensuring efficient workflows.

• Collaborate with the VP of Finance to improve financial operations and strategies.

• Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze and organize financial data.

• Maintain and update financial records within the Epicor ERP system.

• Conduct audits and reviews to ensure the integrity of financial documentation.

• Develop and implement best practices for scanning and compiling financial documents.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar financial management role.

• Strong proficiency in advanced Excel functions and formulas.

• Familiarity with Epicor ERP software is highly desirable.

• Demonstrated ability to manage month-end close processes and reconciliations.

• Excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail in documentation control.

• Experience supervising accounts payable and accounts receivable teams.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work on-site, five days a week.
