Team Members who encompass the role of Ocean Club Concierge & Membership Bartender take the initiative to deliver a unique and memorable experience by providing a wide range of services that makes the transaction feel like a part of an elevated experience for all guests and Members\.

A Bartender is responsible for preparing beverages and serving beverages and/or food to guests in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability\.

**Required Certifications** : Both a Responsible Beverage Server \(RBS\) Certification is required for this position\.

**Classification** : Full Time, Seasonal

**Shift:** Various – must be available to weekdays, weekends, and holidays\.

**Pay Rate:**  The pay rate for this role is $17\.40 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location\.

What will I be doing?

+ Maintains proper and adequate set\-up of the bar on a daily basis\. This includes requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, condiments and produce based on projections and forecast

+ Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and applicable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to ensure product quality

+ Greets guests in a courteous, professional and timely manner, promotes and documents orders for drinks\.

+ Prepare and serve alcoholic beverages to guests and Members\.

+ Assist with set up of buffet when needed\.

+ Transport food items to and from the kitchen\.

+ Replenish beverages as needed\.

+ Retrieve and transport dirty tableware to dishwashing area\.

+ Answer questions on menu selections\. Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, re\-cook orders, and product availability\.

+ Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen\.

+ Record transaction in Point of Sale system at time of order and present physical and accurate check to guest and process payment when applicable\.

+ Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction throughout dining experience and/or after each delivery of food and beverage items\.

+ Check guests for proper identification\. Detect and act upon guest inebriation as trained\. Demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws\.

+ Receives cash from guests, makes any change needed, verifies validity of charges, records charges, and ensures vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all moneys\.

+ Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc\., throughout the day\.

+ Complete opening and closing duties, including storing all reusable goods, breaking down goods, cleaning all equipment and areas, returning equipment to proper locations and securing coolers, cabinets, and storage areas\.

+ Requisition all necessary supplies, transporting supplies from storeroom to set\-up area as required\.

+ All other duties as assigned

+ County of San Diego Food Handlers Card and RBS Certification are required
