Engineering Intern - Power Generation North

Department: Power Generation Engineering North
Job Responsibilities:
Support the Power Generation Engineering team with design development, investigating and resolving equipment problems, coordinating the work activities of outside consulting engineers to resolve equipment problems, preparing plant performance trends, field verify and update drawings, supporting testing and inspections of equipment, assisting in system health monitoring, and performing component criticality classifications.
Qualifications
Specific fields of study required: Bachelor of Science in Engineering
2.5 GPA or higher is required
Sophomore Status or Higher
US Citizen or Permanent Resident
Current full-time college student pursuing Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering degree program
Must be attending an accredited college/university
Sophomore year completed by the start of the work term
Desire to return for second term preferred
Technical Ability (i.e. software):
Ability to analyze data and report results
Strong problem solving skills and ability to determine cause of issues and necessary actions Ability to work independently and within a team
Strong collaboration skills to work with engineers, operations and maintenance personnel Extensive use of Microsoft Office tools, especially excel spreadsheets
