    Position Title:

    Program Manager I-HR Talent Development & Learning-Mount Sinai Health System-Full Time-Days

    Position Summary:

    The Program Manager I plays a central role in advancing Mount Sinai’s culture of recognition and engagement while contributing to the broader mission of the Talent Development and Learning (TDL) team. This position combines strong administrative skills, program planning, and event coordination to ensure that engagement and recognition initiatives run seamlessly and make employees feel seen and valued. The ideal candidate brings extraordinary customer service skills, and balances respect for established processes with creativity and agility to improve them. This role ensures the smooth execution of programs and events — before, during, and after — while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, quality, and professionalism.

    Qualifications

    Education Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree or greater preferred, or a combination of applicable experience and education

    Experience Requirements:

    3+ years' experience (5 preferred), managing and administrating program activities for assigned area

    General Skills and Competencies:

    Excellent written and oral communication skills

     

    Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, projects and assignments

     

    Excellent customer service skills

     

    Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

     

    Compensation Statement

     

    The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $64,526.72 - $123,599.87 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

    Responsibilities

    + Provide administrative and program support including scheduling, Outlook/email communication, data management, and preparation of program materials, including printed materials, technical support for virtual events/programs, and mailings (as needed).

    + Coordinate and execute in-person and visual recognition events and initiatives to ensure seamless operations.

    + Develop and maintain detailed checklists, timelines, and quality controls to support program consistency and success.

    + Partner with leaders and colleagues across the health system to coordinate engagement activities, share best practices, and align with organizational values and goals.

    + Draft professional communications and support the writing/editing of recognition stories, certificates, and program materials.

    + Manage and analyze large data sets in Excel with a critical eye toward program purpose — running reports, formatting data for use, and drawing insights that inform effective program decisions.

    + Contribute to the design, planning, and continuous improvement of engagement and recognition programs, balancing innovation with respect for established processes and aligning with broader TDL priorities.

    + Provide extraordinary customer service and act as a positive, professional representative of the Talent Development and Learning team.

    + Support vendor coordination and logistical planning for recognition programs and events.

    + Perform other related duties to advance the mission of recognition and engagement at Mount Sinai.

    + Support additional Talent Development and Learning projects and initiatives as needed, ensuring flexibility and collaboration across the department’s portfolio of programs.
