    The Planning & Launch team is looking for a highly motivated individual to manage the launch of initiatives across the Microsoft global business to effectively serve our Customers and Partners. This position is responsible for leading across all facets of launch from the creation of project plans to the final execution. The experienced individual will build relationships with counterparts and lead relevant discussions to operationalize the work that directly impacts the business strategy. Once impacts are assessed and plans are built, this role will lead a launch team to bring these changes to market, tracking risks/issues, and ultimately ensuring excellence in delivery. In addition to ensuring launch readiness execution, this role will be key in supporting the discipline of launch through artifact authoring and management, partnership with the broader launch community to identify and execute process improvements, documentation and roll-out to the broader organization.

    Responsibilities

    **The Operations Program Manager-Launch is responsible for the following** :

    + Run project launch teams, facilitating effective meetings and driving key decisions with stakeholders to ensure a solid Plan of Record & schedule.

    + Responsible for driving accountability across various work streams throughout the launch process.

    + Identify requirements and document a working Plan of Record, driving change control, managing issues and escalation, triage, cross group coordination and milestone management.

    + Identify and manage project risks to reduce escalations and poor experience due to gap in understanding or adherence to process.

    + Be a trusted Advisor to stakeholders and manage relationships and expectations; act as a single point of contact for queries and escalations around the project; create required artifacts and take active participation in all reporting requirements; providing global communications that touches the right levels of the organization.

    Risk Assessment and Mitigation

    + Evaluates increasingly complex launch risks landscape and communicates risks to internal and external stakeholders. Develops mitigation plans or acceptance of increasingly complex risks.

    Change Management

    + Prepares business users for change due to implementation of new launches. Implements and monitor changes/adoptions. Partners across teams engage and prepare audiences and evaluate results of the changes/adoptions. Facilitates information sharing of change through various tools and employee platforms.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's Degree in Operations, Business Supply Chain, Finance, Business Management, Accounting, Human Resources (HR), Organizational Development or related field AND 4+ years experience in operations or process design or program/project management

    + OR equivalent experience.

    + 4+ years of experience in complex project or program management, preferably with large commercial enterprises.

    + 4+ years of experience in Channel Management, Supply Chain, Marketing, Program Management, Project Management, or Operations.

    Additional or preferred qualifications

    + Master's Degree in Management, Business Administration, or related field AND 6+ years experience in operations or process design or program/project management

    + OR Bachelor's Degree in Operations, Business Supply Chain, Finance, Business Management, Accounting, Human Resources (HR), Organizational Development or related field AND 8+ years experience in operations or process design or program/project management

    + OR equivalent experience. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent. Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent.

    + 6+ years of experience in complex projects or program management, preferably with large commercial enterprises.

    + 6+ years of experience in Channel Management, Supply Chain, Marketing, Program Management, Project Management, or Operations.

    + Experience in a multinational environment.

    + Initiative & drive; should demonstrate commitment for continuous improvement & delivery against agreed objectives.

    + Ability to manage short, medium, and long-term planning horizons concurrently.

    + Ability to work under and deliver to continual deadline constraints is essential.

    + Proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels across the organization is essential.

    + Possess negotiation skills with an ability to impact and influence at all levels of organization.

    + PMI Certification

    + Lean Six Sigma certification

     

    Launch Management IC4** - The typical base pay range for this role across the **U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year.** There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the **San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area** , and the base pay range for this role in those locations is **USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
